St Helena Cup: start date fast approaching

The Manly Hotel St Helena Cup weekend is the flagship event of the Wynnum Manly Yacht club. It is a two day regatta consisting of one race, for each of three fleets, each day. This year October 19th and 20th is the weekend of the 37th annual St Helena Cup.

This is the largest team race event on the Queensland yachting calendar, the total number of Yachts competing in the three divisions reliably exceeds 100. This year with a more attractive prize pool and an expanded cruising division we expect our best field yet. We are planning to cater for in excess of 500 competitors over the weekend.

The Nautilus Marine Insurance Cruising division starts on a slightly shorter version of the full course that is used by The Manly Hotel St Helena Cup mono and the Robinson Cruises Multihull divisions.

The Finish line is set at the end of St Helena Island’s Jetty on the Island’s South West corner. The fleet provides a magnificent site as it crowds towards the finish, sailing west between Green and St Helena Island and then turning North to the finish line.

If you haven’t registered yet, get your entry in now. The St Helena Cup weekend is only a few weeks away. Check for details and registration our ‘wmyc.com.au’ website or our dedicated ‘thesthelenacup.com.au’ site.
