Another tough day at the office for crews in the 57th Australian Skate Championships, hopes of better conditions in the late afternoon saw racing start at 16:00, didn’t really pay off with the fleet still battling gusts in the high 20s.

The days racing saw one on the classes most winning skippers David Luck with crew Anthony Sinton clawed his way back to the series lead with back to back wins in races 5 and 6. Second in race five was the rest of the Sinton clan on Grey Ghost father Keith helming and brother Chris on the forward plank, third was Woodland Metal Spinning, John Grant and Glen Crichton.

Luck and Sinton backed up with another clean win in race six, followed home by Natural Juices, Ken Davies and Lachland Schroder with Grant and Crichton third.

Luck and Sinton have a 0.7 of a point lead over Grant and Crichton with 14.4 points with Davies and Schroder third on 19.4 points.

Race 7 and the resail of race 4 now rest in having some sailable weather for the Nationals final day Saturday 4th.
